Maja Nilsson, Auckland

Tania Dalton recommended her fabulous Au Pair, Maja Nilsson, as Au Pair of the month – and we can’t blame her.

“Well I can’t believe it has taken this long to write about our “legend” Au Pair, Maja! Maja has fitted into our family just so well and our three children absolutely love her! Tayla (6yrs old) says, “Maja is so much fun. She does art with me, she takes me to school and she cooks yummy dinners.” Charlie (3 yrs old) describes Maya as, “she plays lions with me, she jumps on the trampoline with me and she takes me to the park!” Matt (7 months old) can’t talk yet but he loves Majas homemade fruit and veges and gives her the biggest smiles.

For me, as mother of three, I don’t know how I coped without Maja. She has certainly made my life more enjoyable and has enabled me to have more quality time with each of my children. She has brought better routines to our house and we now all sit up at the table for meals. We have theme dinner nights on Wednesdays, where we eat food from different countries and we also have egg Tuesdays where we have eggs for breakfast. All these things have been initiated by Maja and we have just loved it.

Maja is a fit individual who loves exercise and therefore has been a great role model for the children. She eats very well and encourages our children to eat healthy food and also prepares them good food. She bakes and cooks with the children and makes them feel part of the preparation.

My husband and I lead extremely busy lives and it is so nice to know our children are safe and being well looked after if we are not home with them. We thank you for letting us choose Maja - we think she is “the best”!
