I would like to nominate Irmhild Preisinger as Au Pair of the month and to be quite honest I don't know where to start. What a wonderful, bubbly, organised, energetic, funny, sincere, honest, trustworthy, patient, hardworking person and this list could go on and on and on. We have 4 children between 7 and 20 months, and Irmi has been an amazing help in the overall running of our busy house. We are dairy farmers and have had a very busy few months over spring time with all the cows calving, (she even helped me calve a cow in the paddock). She also loved to milk and really got a taste of what dairy farming in New Zealand is all about.

My main priority for my children was that they have a fun YET safe time with our Au Pair and Irmi has made every day even the many rainy ones exciting and fun. She has spent many hours of her own time also entertaining our children, and has truly been a member of our family. She has taught my children German words, and has started a few German Xmas traditions that we will do for many years to come. Irmi is leaving us soon, to travel around NZ and also start a new placement for 6 months with another family. We wish her every bit of happiness and know she will always have a very special place in all of our hearts. It actually saddens me to write this letter as it makes me realise even more how much we will ALL miss her. In my eyes she deserves to be Au Pair of the month and has certainly set a very high standard for our future Au Pairs.
