Lisa Nestler, Canterbury
Lisa started with us in mid January and from the very start she fitted into or lives and family like she had always been there. Lisa looks after our 11 month old daughter Maggie.
Lisa is wonderful with Maggie – she takes care of all her needs and I trust her implicitly. She is very conscientious and is always willing to go the extra mile to help around the house or with the simple activities of daily life that makes a real difference to my husband and I. In fact Lisa is often one step ahead of what needs to be done.
We really appreciate Lisa’s wonderful sense of humour, her bubbly personality and kind and caring nature. She shows maturity beyond her years.
Maggie adores Lisa. Every morning when Lisa greats her, Maggie beams with delight. Lisa enjoys finding new activities for Maggie to do and has been wonderful at respecting our wishes when we suggest trying various new things.
Just before Easter, I walked in the door from being away for work for a few days and Lisa and Maggie had made a lovely big cardboard cut out of an easter-egg and photos and stuck it to the fridge. Another time there was a “Welcome Home Mummy” sign erected in the kitchen – all these things make a working mum’s life easier and enhance our lives generally.
These are merely a few of the reasons why we think Lisa deserves Au Pair of the Month.
Lisa has a few months left before she returns to Germany but we don’t want to think about this – we are simply enjoying having her part of our lives now.
