It's been a bit over one and a half year ago when I came to New Zealand and started being an Au Pair. I had a great time and I just want to thank you and Au Pair Link for your great support during my year. I had an incredible time and lots of fun. My host parents have been wonderful and they gave me more than I ever imagined. We enjoyed our time together with cooking and endless talks while cuting vegetable and preparing meet in the kitchen. The kids showered me with their love and we had a lot of fun tinkering funny things like bumble bee (Transformers) or having fun in the garden. We lived and laughed together and I miss this time a lot. If there would be a thing like "Host family of the month" they should be nominated every single month I've been with them. They are my second home! I can't imagine how big the kids became since I'm back in Germany - I'm always shaking my head when I see pictures of them. Little growing ups. Around Christmas we skyped and the littlest one started singing a song and I was just blowed away. I remember how often we tried to learn words and tried to sing a bit - and at this day she did it like she's never done something else. My host mum tells me every time how the oldest son is talking about me coming back. Sadly he can't understand how long it will be until then. And while their lifes going on, my ones as well. I started uni and studying psychology 4 months ago and now I will have my first eximinations. Crazy how fast time can run. I'm thinking a lot about my time on the other side and if I could I would come back immediately.
