Flights, Visas & Insurance
Depending on the Au Pair OE programme and country that you choose, either Au Pair Link or our relevant partner agency will book your flights, organise your insurance and help you apply for your visa. Flights
Au Pair Link takes care of everything required to get you to your destination - so you can begin your year as an Au Pair. Through our partnership with STA Travel we can arrange your flights - making the whole process simple and easy for you.
To book your flight with Au Pair Link simply download and complete the Travel Booking Form. Once you have completed the Travel Booking Form follow the instructions on the form itself and email it directly to Au Pair Link at travel@aupairlink.co.nz. The Au Pair Link Travel Booking Form must be completed for all countries other than the United States of America (where our partner agency will organise your flight instead).

Insurance
We provide comprehensive travel insurance through Cover-More – one of New Zealand's most trusted insurers since 1986. You must have insurance as an Au Pair with Au Pair Link – for any unforeseen medical expenses, accidents or lost/stolen property etc during your year as an Au Pair overseas. It is mandatory that you take our insurance policy (unless insurance is already included in the programme package e.g. for the USA, China and Germany) as we need to be satisfied that you are appropriately covered.

Our Au Pairs are typically covered under the Travelsure Essentials Policy with a standard excess of only $100.00 per claim. Please contact Au Pair Link on travel@aupairlink.co.nz for all advice concerning your insurance (please note, in some instances medical insurance is required as a visa condition).
Visas
Au Pair Link will assist you with your visa application to become an Au Pair overseas, however, you are required to directly pay for any visa application or associated costs yourself. The visa application process and cost varies from country to country. For example, for the Au Pair USA programme the US Consulate requires all applicants for J-1 Visas to be interviewed in Auckland.
