How do I Apply?
STEP 1. The first step is to apply online. It’s free to apply!
STEP 2. Au Pair Link or one of our international partners will contact you by e-mail or phone to provide you with more information about the options and programmes available, the application process and answer any questions that you may have.
STEP 3. After you’ve completed our full online application form we will need you to collect required documents to support your application. In general you need to collect the following documents:

2 childcare references (not from family members)
- Childcare Experience Form

1 x character reference

A copy of your passport

A copy of your driver’s license

A copy of your police record
-
A medical certificate
-
School leaving certificates & diploma
-
A “Dear Host Family” letter (approximately 1 to 2 A4 pages and be written in a personal manner as if writing directly to a family - include at least 5 photos of you and interacting with children).

STEP 5. While you are compiling your documentation some of our Host Families may contact you. When the families call you it may be early in the morning or late at night. Discuss this with the family in advance via email and make sure that you have compiled a list of questions for them to answer.
STEP 6. Once you have matched with a Host Family and you have accepted an "offer of placement", we will help you to:
To book your flights, visa and insurance please download our travel booking form, complete the required fields and email it to travel@aupairlink.co.nz . You will then be sent an email from the team at Au Pair Link with a secure link to make an online payment for your flights, visa and insurance.
