Our Programmes
We offer three exciting programmes for Au Pairs:
Au Pair 123 – A quality and educational programme, approved by the New Zealand Ministry of Education, for Au Pairs that would like to care for children under the age of 5.
Au Pair Mate – Our Au Pair Mate programme is designed for Au Pairs who would like to care for older, school aged children (who are over 5 years of age).
Au Pair OE – Our Au Pair OE programme is designed for responsible and adventurous young Kiwis (or New Zealanders) wanting to have their big overseas experience.
Our programmes are for a minimum of 6 months to a maximum 12 month period. We also provide a mandatory orientation programme for all Au Pairs upon their arrival in New Zealand (both Au Pair 123 and Au Pair Mate programmes). Our orientation programme is a 3 day training course conducted in Auckland. As well as helping you to acclimatise after lengthy international travel – the programme includes childcare training by a qualified teacher, driving lessons and a tailored child first aid and CPR course.
Au Pair 123
Our Au Pair 123 Programme is tailored for Au Pairs that would like to care for children under age 5. We provide a New Zealand government approved curriculum (educational programme) that is tailored for our Au Pairs who care for children under age 5. During your year you will help implement this curriculum together with your host family to ensure that the children are developing and learning properly! This is a fantastic opportunity for our Au Pairs to learn professional child care techniques and to make a difference in the lives of each child – through helping them to develop their own unique skills and personalities.
The benefits for Au Pairs that join our Au Pair 123 programme include:

- Monthly visits from one of our registered and qualified teachers to ensure that you are happy and that your child is developing properly

- A higher salary ($180.00 - $220.00 per/week after tax) and completion bonus paid toward your return flight home.
Au Pair Mate
Our Au Pair Mate programme is designed for Au Pairs that would like to care for children who are older and typically go to school i.e. older than 5 years of age. Usual Au Pair Mate duties include; babysitting, dropping off and picking up children from school, homework help, afterschool activities and so much more. The benefits of being an Au Pair Mate include:
- Less working hours during the week to explore New Zealand
- The opportunity to study or undertake an internship in your spare time
- Caring for school age children and therefore sharing different learning experiences with them.
- A completion bonus paid upon completing your placement term as a contribution toward your return flight.
An Au Pair Mate is more like an older sister or brother and they will often share similar interests with their Host Family – wether it is playing soccer, riding horses, teaching piano or even another language.
Au Pair OE
Our Au Pair OE programme is an outbound Au Pair programme i.e. sending New Zealand Au Pairs overseas. Working as an Au Pair OE is one of the best ways for young Kiwis to discover the world. Through our Au Pair OE programme we offer an amazing opportunity for young Kiwis to travel overseas with the safety and security of knowing that they are using a local agency. The benefits of our Au Pair OE programme include:
