What does it cost?
Au Pair Link does not charge our Au Pairs any agency fees. Some of our international partners may choose to charge a small application fee (this is at the sole discretion of our partner agencies). Our partner agencies will advise you of any such applicable charges. All Au Pairs must travel through an Au Pair Link partner agency.
However, you will be required to pay for your return flights to New Zealand as well as your insurance and Working Holiday Visa costs. Please note that your Host Family will pay you a Completion Bonus as a contribution toward your flight home upon the completion of your full Placement Term (see information below). The above package pricing includes return flights to New Zealand (departing from the specified departure cities), comprehensive travel and medical insurance, and our 3 day orientation programme in New Zealand including all hotel accommodation and meals.
Au Pair Link will co-assist you through the visa application process, however you will need to fill out any online forms and provide any information required by New Zealand Immigration. Please note, you must make payment of $140.00 NZD directly to the New Zealand Department of Immigration in order to successfully complete your application.
If you choose not to book your flights and insurance through Au Pair Link and our travel agency partner (Orbit Corporate Travel) - then you will be required to pay a separate $500.00 NZD fee for our orientation programme. Also note that once your bookings have been made cancellation charges will apply for all airline travel and insurance is non-refundable.
Please note that the above package pricing may vary depending on the flight that you choose and the time of the year in which you travel. Air travel prices do fluctuate. For travel pricing departing from other regions or cities such as Central America and Australia please contact us for further information.
Completion bonus
You will also receive a Completion Bonus in recognition of a successful Placement Term with your Host Family and as a contribution toward your return flight home. You must agree on the length of the Placement Term prior to matching with a Host Family (e.g. 6 , 9 or 12 months). The Completion Bonus is $20 NZD per week and is prorated over the length of the Placement Term. For example, for a 12 month Placement Term the net Completion Bonus is $1,040.00 NZD ($20 x 52 weeks). The Completion Bonus is paid at the end of the Placement Term by the Host Family to the Au Pair. You must complete your full Placement Term to receive your Completion Bonus.
