Our Memberships
International Au Pair Association (IAPA)
Au Pair Link is a full voting member of the International Au Pair Association (IAPA). Full Voting Membership is the highest membership status an Au Pair agency can attain within the IAPA. Being a full voting member, Au Pair Link is able to contribute to policy and guidelines as well as act as a voice for New Zealand within an international body.
The IAPA was founded by leading Au Pair organisations in 1994 at the WYSTC (World Youth and Student Travel Conference) in Vancouver, Canada. The IAPA’s main aim is to protect the rights of all Au Pairs and Host Families and at the same time establish internationally approved guidelines for Au Pair exchange programmes. Presently there are 143 members in 38 countries around the world.
As the first IAPA member in Australasia, with Au Pair Link you can be assured that we follow international best practise and meet all standards set by the IAPA. We thoroughly screen/interview all our Au Pair and Host Family candidates to ensure a safe match – giving all parties involved peace of mind.
Au Pair Link became an affiliate member of the IAPA in 2008 and has since developed strong partner relationships with other trusted IAPA member organisations throughout the world.
