Screening Process
At Au Pair Link we recognise that the security of your little ones is paramount. We are committed to connecting your family with a safe and loving Au Pair that you can entrust with the care of your children. Through our global network of trusted partners, we are able to carefully scrutinise all Au Pair applicants and ensure the best fit for your family.
“The International Au Pair Association (IAPA) recommends families always use a reputable agency when looking for an Au Pair. The agency can arrange a written contract between the family and Au Pair, can validate references and offer a rematch policy if the initial Au Pair doesn’t work out.” (Littlies Magazine - Issue 46 November 2007)
As the only member of the International Au Pair Association (IAPA) in Australasia, our recruitment and screening processes for Au Pairs are international best practise. Through our established international partnerships we conduct a thorough examination of each Au Pair candidate, including:
- A personal interview
- Checking police records
- Obtaining medical records
- An English test
- A personality test
- Two childcare references
- A character reference
- Review of school transcripts
- Review of certificates and qualifications
Au Pair Link has very high recruitment standards. It is in the best interests of all parties that we find the right Au Pair candidate for your family first time. Nevertheless, should the placement not work out we will organise a replacement Au Pair for you free of charge (for up to 3 months). See Our Guarantee.
Please note:
our screening process may vary for Au Pair Assist candidates or other Au Pair candidates already in New Zealand on a Working Holiday or Student Visa.
Most parents will agree that the safety and well-being of their children is most important when it comes to child care. Au Pair Link has a proven track record. As the largest and leading Au Pair agency in New Zealand we understand what to look for in a suitable candidate. With our extensive screening process you can have peace of mind that your children are in safe hands.
