Free Private Au Pair Support
Au Pair Link's Au Pair Support programme is designed to allow Host Family's to recruit their own private Au Pair but still receive a quality Home Based Early Childhood Education service, teacher support and government subsidies (such as 20 Hours ECE and WINZ). Many families choose our Au Pair Support programme as they have decided to recruit their own Au Pair or even enlist a relative or friend to be their Au Pair – but would still like to have an educational support programme in place. Many families that already have a live-in Au Pair caring for their children also decide to join our free Au Pair Support programme to access fun activities, playgroups, educational toys and resources, childcare training and support from our qualified Early Childhood Education teachers.
The Au Pair Support programme provides the same educational and support services as our Au Pair 123 programme – the only difference is that the Au Pair is recruited by the Host Family directly and not Au Pair Link. The Au Pair Support programme is exclusively available for children who are between the ages of 0 to 5 years and in our Ministry of Education licensed regions (Auckland, Bay of Plenty/Waikato, Taranaki, Wellington and Christchurch). Children who are 3 & 4 years old are eligible for the ‘20 Hours ECE’ government subsidy when enrolled in our Au Pair Support programme.
Please note that private Au Pairs on our Au Pair Support programme must meet the following minimum requirements:
-
Legally reside in New Zealand
-
Provide a copy of their clean police record to Au Pair Link
-
Successfully complete our free orientation course in Auckland including CPR training from St John and child care lessons.
The Au Pair wage is determined at the discretion of the family and their private Au Pair, however, it must comply with the minimum wage act and New Zealand law. Host Family’s can enrol in our Au Pair Support programme as long as they have at least 1 child under the age of 5 and live in an Au Pair Link Ministry of Education licensed region.
For further information on our enrolment process please see the Enrolment Process page on our website. The Au Pair Support programme is free of charge for families with private Au Pairs - so contact us today to enrol! The Au Pair Support programme services and benefits include:
