Au Pair PayLink - payroll made easy
What is it?
Au Pair PayLink is a payroll service that takes the hassle out of being an employer. With Au Pair PayLink we pay your Au Pair, calculate and pay the correct PAYE tax and take care of all holiday pay, sick and annual leave entitlements.
How does it work?
Host Families first must register as an Employer with the IRD to join the Au Pair PayLink service. After joining Au Pair PayLink, Host Families will pay Au Pair Link the gross Au Pair wage each week in advance – which is deposited into a separate Client Fund Service account. Au Pair Link will then calculate the correct net wage and PAYE tax and pay your Au Pair accordingly.
Au Pair Link will also take care of all Au Pair holiday pay, sick and annual leave entitlements. If your children are enrolled in 20 Hours ECE with Au Pair Link you simply pay us a lower gross amount and we top up your Au Pair’s wage. You can even elect to pay the Au Pair completion bonus each week – spreading the cost over the entire placement term.
What are the benefits?
- It’s simple – we pay your Au Pair’s salary and relevant PAYE tax on your behalf and ensure that the correct amount is paid.
- It’s easy – we take care of sick leave, annual leave and holiday pay for you.
- It’s secure – we keep all payroll records, file tax returns and all gross Au Pair wage payments are deposited into a separate trust account.
- It’s low-cost –for only a $8.00 per week processing fee we do all the work.
What does it cost?
$8.00 per week including GST. This amount will be added to the gross sum that you pay Au Pair Link weekly. All payments are made in advance.
All Au Pair PayLink payroll clients must have an Individual Fixed Term Employment Agreement signed with their Au Pair (i.e. your employee) to ensure compliance with Section 7 of the Minimum Wage Act 1983. Au Pair Link will provide all Host Families with an Individual Fixed Term Employment Agreement template. A copy of this Agreement must be supplied to Au Pair Link prior to the payroll service commencing.
