Our Programmes
At Au Pair Link we understand that every family has unique childcare needs. Whether you have infant or school age children, require full or part time care, work 8am to 5pm or shift hours – we have a tailored childcare programme that will meet your family’s needs. We offer four distinct and flexible Au Pair programmes:
Our core Early Childhood Education (ECE) programme, approved by the New Zealand Ministry of Education, for families with at least 1 child under 5. An Au Pair 123 can work between 30 to 45 hours per week and the Placement Term (length of stay) is between 6 to 12 months.
Our professional, qualified Au Pair programme for families with at least 1 child under 5. An Au Pair Whiz has a minimum of 1 year's full time childcare experience with children under the age of 5 or the equivalent of a formal Early Childhood Education degree or diploma and a minimum of 6 months practical experience with children under the age of 5.
Our flexible after school care programme tailored for families with children over the age of 5. An Au Pair Mate can work between 20 to 45 hours per week and the Placement Term (length of stay) is between 6 to 12 months.
Our short term mother’s help programme for families with at least 1 child under 5. An Au Pair Assist can work between 20 to 45 hours per week and the Placement Term (length of stay) is for 3 months.

We also provide an orientation programme for all Au Pairs upon their arrival in New Zealand (for all programmes). Our orientation programme is a 3 day training course for your Au Pair and is included in the Host Family Enrolment Fee i.e. no extra charge for our orientation programme. As well as aiding them to acclimatise after lengthy international travel, the course includes childcare training by a qualified Early Childhood Education teacher, professional driving lessons and a tailored child first aid and CPR course conducted by St John.
