Note: Enrolment Fees are GST inclusive. The Au Pair weekly wage and Completion Bonus are net amounts and exclusive of PAYE tax. Au Pair weekly wages are net cash payments exclusive of PAYE tax and board or lodging. As a result, board or lodging must be included as part of the total gross package provided to your Au Pair – on which PAYE tax is calculated. Enrolment Fees
The Host Family Enrolment Fee is paid by the Host Family to Au Pair Link for Au Pair placement and recruitment as well as enrolment in our programmes. The Enrolment Fee is a one off fee per Au Pair Placement and is invoiced upon "Offer of Placement" being accepted i.e. when a Host Family agrees to a match with an Au Pair. The Enrolment Fee is GST inclusive.
Au Pair wages and Completion Bonus
For further information on Au Pair wages please go to the Au Pair Wages and Hours page on our website. All Au Pair wages are net - exclusive of PAYE tax, room and board. You must also pay your Au Pair a Completion Bonus in recognition of a successful Placement Term and as a contribution toward the return flight home of your Au Pair. You must agree on the length of the Placement Term prior to matching with an Au Pair (e.g. 6 , 9 or 12 months). The Completion Bonus is $20 net per week and is prorated over the length of the Placement Term. For example, for a 12 month Placement Term the net Completion Bonus is $1,040.00 ($20 x 52 weeks). The Completion Bonus is paid at the end of the Placement Term by the Host Family to the Au Pair.
So what is the average cost?
The Au Pair 123 programme offers quality childcare for all your children from only $5.78 per hour or $231.06 per week (based on 40 hours). This includes Enrolment Fees, Au Pair wages and bonuses (excluding tax). The ‘20 Hours ECE’ government subsidy is also available for 3 & 4 year olds enrolled in our Au Pair 123 programme. We also offer the WINZ childcare subsidy. The Au Pair Mate programme offers quality childcare for all your children over 5 years of age from only $5.43 per hour or $217.31 per week (based on 40 hours). This includes Enrolment Fees, Au Pair wages and bonuses (excluding tax).
Orientation
Please note that your family is required to pick up your Au Pair from Orientation in Auckland or provide them with a one-way ticket to travel to your home in New Zealand. If you are unable to pick your Au Pair up from Orientation or arrange for their immediate travel to your location in New Zealand you must arrange for their temporary accommodation and board.
