Dear Zoe, Regan, Alex, Caitlin, Ben and William,
I have now been a part of your family for nearly 2 Months, and I
could not have imagined a more perfect place for me to be!
After our first Skype meeting, I felt like jumping on a plane to
come hang out with you guys straight away!
As soon as i stepped into your house, my new home, I recieved
the warmest welcome. I knew right then and there, that I was
the luckiest Au Pair! You made me feel welcome and like
part of the family in an instant.You had taken the time to get
a "Welcome Melissa Cake" made, you got a lot of points in my
book right there, how did you know cake is one of my favorite
things in the world?! ;)
My first weekend here with you in New Zealand, is one I will
never forget. I was very touched that you had made plans to
take me out and show me Auckland, and as a family. We all
went together to the Sky Tower, where you gave me the best
view of my new city. Here you shared with me your favorite
spots and places of interest so that I had a better understanding
of this new place that I was to call home. After we went to
the park and had a cozy picnic, with delecious food, kicking
of the ball and a bit of tree climbing. In the evening you had made
plans for me to meet up with some other Au Pairs. This showed
me how considerate you were right from the start, a very warm
gesture of making sure that I was also making friends with other Au
Pairs. I knew then that you cared about me and wished the best
for me!
Zoe and Regan, you are amazing parents to your children, you
provide them with guidance to make the best dicisions for
themselves in life, while also sharing love and a lot of laughs
too! Alex, Caitlin, Ben and William are such a joy to share
every day with, and I am lucky be a part of their lives. They
make me laugh, teach me new things and warm my heart with their
wonderful and individual personalities. I am grateful for your
trust in me when it comes to taking care of your children, I
hope to contribute to their growth, make them feel safe and loved,
while also being their friend.
And not only are you amazing parents, you are the best host
parents too! You always make sure to let me know that I am
appreciated and valued, and seen as a member of the
family. You also show interest in me and also Denmark. You are
always there to help and support me, and to go far and beyond
to show me a good time! When you brought me along to the Batch,
you showed me all the best spots and activities. I am so glad
that I got to go with you all, it was an awesome trip where I
grew closer to you all! And I can't wait for our Wellington trip, I
am the luckiest Au Pair to get the opportunity to come along
with you guys :)
And thank you for understanding my sense of humor and putting up
with my jokes! :D
