Dear Beth, Aoife and Orla,
I can't believe I´m here in New Zealand for almost ten months
already. Wow, time really flies by when you enjoy an experience as
much as I enjoy living with you.
From the moment I met you guys at the airport I felt like I
belonged here. You all were so welcoming and immediately gave me a
big hug. You accepted me as a part of your family from the
beginning and I couldn´t be more grateful for this amazing
opportunity.
I absolutely love spending time with all of you and I couldn´t
have asked for a better second family on the other side of the
world.
Beth, I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for
letting me be a part in your family and life. I am so grateful for
your constant support. I love that you guys let me take part in
your everyday family activities, even when I´m not working. Whether
it´s going to the cinema, having a movie night, going to the beach,
having a picnic in the park, celebrating birthdays and Christmas
together or simply just hanging out and having a laugh at dinner
time - it´s these moments that make my time here in NZ even more
special. I know that I can always come and talk to you and that
really means a lot to me.
Aoife and Orla, you girls fill my life with so much happiness,
brightness and excitement on a daily basis. You´ve showed me how
important it is to be cheerful and adventurous, every day, and to
always keep exploring the world around us. I appreciate every
single day that I get to spend with you two. We make so many
amazing memories together. From creating our own stories, collages
and artworks to going on adventure walks and treasure hunts to
baking, playing games, going for a swim and singing our favourite
songs in the kitchen while having dinner. Thanks to you I get to
experience the world through children´s eyes. You guys didn´t only
show me that we all should have a little bit of glitter, rainbows
and fairy dust in our lives - no matter how old we are. You also
bring me so much joy in my everyday life just by being the way you
are. By using our fantasy and creativity we always make the most
out of our time together. From playing outside in the rain and
jumping in puddles to creating a hilarious
drinking-lemon-juice-and-making-funny-faces game. We are always
able to find new ways of having fun and making the best out of
every weather and situation. Aoife and Orla, you two have a very
special place in my heart and I can´t wait to make many more
memories with you.
Living and working in your family has helped me to develop and
grow as a person, to become more self-confident and to be grateful
for all the little things in life.
You have given me a home away from home and I am so thankful for
having you all in my life.
