Dear lovely Paul family!
My time here in New Zealand is flying by and with
this letter I want to express why you are the best host family I
could've ever wished for.
You all know that I knew you were the right family
right from the beginning. Luckily, you felt the same way. I am
feeling so close to you and I already know how much I am going to
miss you. But I still got two months left. And in these two months
I would like to appreciate every minute I am able to spend with
you.
Mark, I liked you right from the beginning. Your
humour is comparable to my dad's and this is why it was so easy for
me to joke with you. And I am also so thankful for you helping me
with my important essay. That meant a lot to me. I further adore
the daily competition we have since the last couple of weeks. With
your Apple Watch I am even more keen to go for a run, just to beat
you at the end of the day (which rarely ever happens because of
your bike ride to work)!
And Emma-Kate thanks for helping me improving my
English, I think I already made quite a progress. It's so nice to
talk to you about the world and his wife. By the way this is a new
idiom I learned. Our talks are so meaningful and I know that I can
always come to you for advice. And even watching the Bachelor is
the best event of the week, it's just so funny to watch it with
both of you. - It definitely would be boring on my own!
Dear James, I don't have to write learning stories
for you but this month I did. Your progress over the last three
month was stunning. You are now able to read stories to me, you
talk in your big boy's voice and you can even ride your bike! I am
so proud of you for all the things you are taking up and for the
way you talk, behave and work. Stay as amazing as you are!
My lovely girl Lottie, it's such a pleasure to have
you around at least one day a week. You are such a big helper and
like you said you are helping every adult who needs your help. And
thank you for showing me how much you like me, that makes me feel
loved. And I love you too.
Last but not least my little boy Jack. It's
adorable to see you taking up more and more words and forming full
sentences. I would have never thought that you could see such an
enormous difference in such a short period of time. But that
doesn't change the fact, that you still call me "Nita". Anyhow, I
love this name because it's special. You're the only one calling me
like that. Keep on developing so fast and don't lose your
smile!
Thank you all for making me part of your family,
inviting me along to all of your adventures, even though I am
mostly gone on the weekends and making Auckland my second home
where I love coming back to. I will always remember this time and I
hope to come back one day. And of course I would love to welcome
you in Germany.
Love, Benita! <3
