Sam, Geoff, Ruby & Thomas have been part of the Au Pair Link
family since early 2014 and in this time they have absolutely
rocked being a kiwi host family. Through 5 au pairs, the Hope's
have made all the girls feel like part of the family, going above
and beyond to show them what life in NZ is all about. Throughout
the years, the kids have been involved in our playgroups,
GrooveLink, more events & outings than any other family we've
ever had, and have been strong supporters for Au Pair Link and our
wonderful educational programme, proudly sharing Ruby &
Thomas's amazing learning journey & supporting their au pairs
in their own learning and exploration too. Sam & Geoff have
always been so welcoming, kind, understanding and fair to their au
pairs, truly wanting their girls to have a wonderful time here in
New Zealand, supporting them to grow and mature, and make life long
memories.
Four of our programme managers have been lucky enough to work
with the hope family, Anna, Kerry, Julia & Emma, and each has
sung the families praises. Sam & Geoff, Ruby & Thomas,
thank you so much for being such a special part of the Au Pair Link
whanau, and contributing so greatly to the growth and memories of
those young ladies you have cared for over the years. We truly
appreciate everything you have done, and have loved having you on
board for the past three years.

It's so hard to find the right words to describe this one of a
kind perfect host familiy. They only deserve the best.
When I arrived in New Zealand I was quite nervous to meet them -
but so they were as well. But they made me feel comfortable from
day one and I simply just fell in love with every single one. Sam -
my mommy. There wasn't a single minute where she didn't care about
me. Whenever I felt sad or uncomfortable, I didn't hesitate to talk
to her. Even now she's like a second mom for me. I miss everyone so
much. I can't even describe how much. Geoff is an awesome 'daddy'.
Such a hardworker and a lovely dad at the same time!
And the kids...the kids are wonderful. I'm so lucky that I've
met them. Ruby and Thomas just delighted my days. There were hard
times of course, but every single smile of them and a lovely word
and my heart melted again. The kids are so well educated and grown
up, it makes everything so easy.
If I could, I would book flights for everyone to come here or I
would simply move to NZ just because of the HOPES.

For me as Ruby's and Thomas's Au pair the Hope- family deserves
it to 100% to be called " Host Family of the Month" because they
are just awesome! Since my first day I felt welcome and comfortable
in this Family, they give me the feeling that I am a family member
and not a labour. They are interested in me as a person and keep
talking to me much, they are very considerate and caring and they
don't give me the chance to get homesick, just because they are my
new, second family!
Additionally Sam and Geoff support my relationship to the
children so much, they accept my rules and decisions and would
never disagree in front of Ruby and Thomas, so that they know they
could never play me off against their parents. And Ruby and Thomas
are so lovely children, already now, after 2 month, our
relationship is very close and they have accepted me as a part of
their family.
So all in all I can just say, there can't be a better
Hostfamilie throughout Aotearoa!
