2016 Au Pair of the Year Winner
Saskia Ziegelhöfer (Germany)
The winner of this year's competition is Saskia
Ziegelhoefer, from Germany, nominated by her host family, the
O'Brien/Biedermanns, in Auckland.
Their
winning nomination video showed us how Saskia wonderfully
integrated herself into the home and has successfully become part
of the family. She was the family's first au pair and she quickly
showed them that having an au pair was an amazing childcare and
personal choice for them.
Also featured in the
NZ Herald, the relationship between Saskia and her family shows
how it is more than just a job but being a connection to the
family's roots and the children's learning journey.
Saskia was awarded a STA Travel voucher worth $1000 and a
Certificate of Excellence. The O'Brien family also win a free au
pair placement for the winning nomination. The award will help
Saskia explore more of what she came to NZ for, to explore and
discover.
Congratulations, Saskia!
