Screening & Recruitment
At Au Pair Link we are committed to connecting your family with
a safe and loving au pair that you can entrust with the care and
education of your children. We work with a global network of
trusted partners to ensure the suitability of all au pair
candidates who join our programmes.
As a full voting member of the International Au Pair
Association (IAPA), our recruitment and screening processes for
au pairs reflect international best practice. Through our
established international partnerships, we conduct a thorough
examination of each au pair candidate, including:
- A personal interview
- Childcare and character reference checks
- Personality and English tests
- Police and medical checks
- Review of school transcripts, certificates and
qualifications.
All applicants are screened and vetted by either our
international partner agencies or by our experienced recruitment
team - with our team being based in both New Zealand and the
UK. In the unlikely event that your initial au pair placement
doesn't work out, we guarantee all families enrolled in our
programmes (except Private Support) that we'll find a
suitable replacement candidate for you free of charge (for up to 3
months).
Please note that because our local applicants are often
already in New Zealand on a working holiday visa, we may not be
able to practically conduct some steps of the screening process,
however will always conduct a personal interview and obtain a
police record check to ensure their suitability.
