Au Pair Link is pleased to announce a brand new and exclusive one-day driving course available to all of our Au Pairs. The course is designed to build on the skills touched upon in the theoretical driving component of our orientation course. These one-on-one training sessions will provide Au Pairs with all the practical skills required to drive safely on New Zealand’s roads – ensuring optimum safety for Au Pairs and children alike. Even better, everyone who participates in the programme will receive a New Zealand Road Orientation Certificate from the Passrite Driving Academy.
As well as providing the opportunity for Au Pairs and Host Families discuss any concerns or raise any questions regarding driving in New Zealand, the course will cover the following areas:
- Parallel parking
- Stop signs
- Give Way signs
- The new road rule
- Motorway merging
- Hazard detection
- The 3 second rule
- Road signs
The course will be run by the Passrite Driving Academy on a monthly basis and will be available throughout the whole year. While we are setting up our first Boot Camps in Auckland, we are also looking to expand into the Waikato and Wellington regions if there is sufficient interest.
The cost to sign up to the Au Pair Link Driving Boot Camp is $60.00, or $70.00 if you require a vehicle to be supplied by Passrite. To ensure a consistent driving experience for the Au Pairs, we encourage participants (where possible) to use their Host Families car.
If you would like to register for the Boot Camp please use our Driving Boot Camp Booking Form. If you would like more information, email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
