On the 28th of October 2008 Au Pair Link founded the New Zealand Au Pair Association Inc (NZAPA). The goal of the NZAPA is to establish internationally approved guidelines for Au Pair Agencies in New Zealand with the aim of protecting the interests of Au Pairs and Host Families alike.
Other objectives of the NZAPA include; providing an independent body to which Au Pairs and Host Families may apply for information and address their concerns, and promoting Au Pair programmes among families and young people throughout New Zealand in order to increase awareness and strengthen cultural ties between nations.
