Last night TV3's Story discussed the influx of the "manny" (the male nanny or au pair), and why families are choosing a male to look after their children rather than a traditional female…and in true Au Pair Link form, we were there to clear this up and showcase the amazing work that a couple of our brightest bro pairs get up to everyday. We visit Max from Germany, where his day to day involves looking after the four busy Bowen children. Host mum Ellen tells us about Max's ability to flick between the rock music and sword fights with Julius, to tea parties with 3 year old Rhea…and that is exactly why she chose him, "not because he's male,…but because he's Max". We also visit Oscar and the Hall family, who proves a brilliant role model for the young boys in his care…and his host family love him too! We've always got male au pairs on our books, and most family don't mind the gender of their au pair.

Check them out in action here.
