What will I get?
Your package and remuneration varies depending on the programme you choose or the country you go to.
Typically, in return for your work as an au pair you will receive:
- A weekly stipend or wage
- Room and board – including all meals
- Completion bonus (depends on programme/country)
- Free study courses (depends on programme/country)
- Free public transport card (depends on programme/country)
It also varies regarding how many days off you get and other such benefits, so take a good look at the country specific and programme information to find out more. If you are unsure or if you have any queries please contact us on 0800 AU PAIR (287 247) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where will I live?
An au pair is a live-in form of childcare. You will live together with your host family and have your own private bedroom in their home. You could be living in the city or rurally depending on the destination and the country you choose. Most countries have reliable public transportation, so it won’t be too difficult to travel without a car. However, many host families will provide you with access to a car as part of your role as an au pair.
